Welcome to fpBuilder, the collaboration site for preparation of EU Framework proposals.

If you are considering becoming involved in a Framework Proposal, either as a Partner or a Coordinator, then fpBuilder can help. We provide a suite of web-based collaboration tools to facilitate on-line partner meetings, document preparation and revision control, project planning, and the preparation of detailed individual and summary budgets. In addition, we can support your proposal preparation with a range of services that includes Project Management, Budget Preparation and Analysis, Document Proofing, and Pre-submission Evaluation by one of our expert evaluators. fpBuilder greatly simplifies the managing of the process of creating a proposal, and supports effective inter-partner communication by ensuring that all information is available and shared all of the time.

Overview. fpBuilder is a web based application that allows you to host all of the documents related to your proposal in a way that makes them fully available to all members of your consortium during the proposal preparation phase. It provides document and budget templates to allow you to get your proposal up and running quickly, and helpful suggestions at appropriate points to guide the proposal preparation process. In addition, on-line support is available to provide additional help with consortium management, budget preparation, document review and revision, and pre-submission evaluation. This allows all consortium members to concentrate fully on the content of the proposal, and spend less time on the administration.

How It Works. Getting up and running with fpBuilder is a simple process:

• If you simply want to see fpBuilder in action, then log in as a Guest by clicking on 'Log In as Guest' in the panel on the right. The sample proposal in the Guest account is a typical first pass at fleshing out the bones of a a project, and gives you an idea of how your proposal will look once you get started. As a Guest, you are free to browse the proposal and edit it if you wish. The proposal is restored to its original state at midnight GMT each day, so any changes you make will be lost.

• If you want to use fpBuilder to manage your proposal submission, then you will need to register by clicking on 'Set Up An Account' in the panel on the right. This step is required to ensure that we only deal with bona fide researchers who are considering submitting a Framework proposal. Any details you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence. • Once you have completed the registration step, we will process your request and assign you an Account Number, which we will send to the email address you provided. Based on the Call you are responding to, we will also create a set of blank documents appropriate to the Call for you to get started with. Using the Account Number, plus the Username and Password you provided during registration, you can then log into your account on the site using the panel on the right.
